Class Times: May 18, 25, and June 1 at 6pm CST

A Witch is someone who uses Magick to manifest a desired outcome.

Magick is the Science and Art of causing change to occur in conformity with Will.

The name CyberWitch came to me one day as I was ruminating over what it means to be a "Witch" in 2020, specifically a witch with interests in (afro)futurist thought, technology, astrology and the occult . I call myself a "CyberWitch" to describe a philosophical journey towards an understanding of spiritual & psychic development amidst the growing influence of technology in our lives as we move closer to the Age of Aquarius..

A "CyberWitch" state of being involves utilizing ancient tools (divination, astral travel, transcendental meditation, magick, ritual spell work, shamanism) as spiritual technology... as methods for raising consciousness on multiple levels (personal, communal, global).

Spiritual Technology gives us new ways to envision ourselves in the future.

Through the internet (CyberWorld), we transcend spatial boundaries by building online community and sharing information and gifts that are integral to the collective's conscious ascension.

As a CyberWitch, I am exercising spiritual agency by rewriting oppressive narratives that do not give space for my magick, let alone existence in an uncertain future.

This course will be taught from my perspective as a Black Queer (Southern) Hoodoo Mystic, but you do not have to practice Hoodoo to take the course. This course is open to anyone who is interested in learning about the Occult in general. (Check out my website bio to learn more about my spiritual background).

I want to be able to give feedback on homework and also engage in dialogue during the course, so I'm limiting the number of seats to 13. If you aren't able to secure a spot this round, there will be more in the future!

Week 1: Cultivating Your Own Witch Philosophy And Getting To Know Your Shadow

Although I practice Hoodoo and call myself a “witch,” all witches do not practice Hoodoo (more on this in the course). The purpose of this part of the course is to reflect over your unique identity (individual, community, global) to understand why being a Witch is important to you and how this understanding fits into a grander context for your mission to empower and raise spiritual consciousness in your community as we move into the Age of Aquarius.

Additionally, we will talk about how to develop a spiritual mission statement that motivates and brings value to your spiritual practices. The most powerful MAGICK results from when a person is working in accordance with the Divine Will for their incarnation onto this plane. Here, I'll give personal anecdotes about my background in spiritual activism and how this has informed my growth as a Spiritual Worker. We will not separate "The Spiritual" from "The Political" in this course.

Nina Simone once said, "An artist’s duty, as far as I’m concerned, is to reflect the times."

I feel the same about Spirituality.

In the second part of the first week's course, I will talk about why Shadow Work is integral to one's psychological safety when performing spell work and magick.

What's Shadow Work?

Shadow Work is an introspective psychological process that helps us understand how unconscious dynamics affect our ability to live more fulfilled lives. It involves an examination of the parts of our self that we don't normally "see." No one is perfect and the process of becoming acquainted with one's shadow self is a lifelong journey, but when we perform spell work, magick, or manifestation work, it can be thwarted by our own unconscious blocks caused by a lack of self knowledge.

For example, dismantling "scarcity mindset" to cultivate financial prosperity is a form of shadow work. If you don't believe that your business or even YOU are worthy of living and THRIVING from your gifts or services, your magick will not attract the results that you're looking for because the universe will understand that you are ready to ACT on the blessings.
