The Tarot are a magickal tool (a set of cards) used for divination purposes to gain insight into matters of life, with the guidance of higher interdimensional forces like your spirit guides and ancestors. For hundreds of years, folks have consulted the tarot for advice on just about any issue related to the human life experience: love affairs, shadow work, life transitions, and so much more.

In either case, the Tarot will help you uncover the tea!

The story of the 78 cards is one of alchemical Spirit-transformation. They tell the story of the Soul’s incarnation into the 3D realm and its refinement by going through each of the lessons in the Major Arcana, and seeing how these play out in everyday life through the Minor Arcana.

I’ve been studying and practicing tarot for over 14 years and I’m so excited to offer this course! Many find learning tarot to be daunting due to the amount of information and quantity of cards, but I’ve created a system of correspondences that helps one figure out and intuitively work with the logic of this special divination system to tap into its true power.

This course will not involve simply reading and memorizing tarot cards because you can do that on your own (one hunnit). This is for the beginner to advanced Tarot practitioner who’s looking to deepen their awareness and understanding of the evolution of Tarot over time and its utility for the future.

There are many ways to approach the study and practice of Tarot, as its philosophical associations with many universal spiritual laws and principles seem infinite, but I’ll be teaching this course based on my experiences/ background in general Occult practices, Mystic Hermetic Kabbalah, Hoodoo, Numerology, Elemental Magick, Mediumship and much more!

Week 1: Philosophical Exploration of How Tarot Works

There are many theories as to why the Tarot works. Is it projective psychology? Synchronicity? Interdimensional communication? Or all of these?! We’ll dive deep into these topics to give you a broad philosophical understanding of how this divination system works.

Along with this, we will explore the broader concepts related to the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana represent many of the essential spiritual lessons that we incarnate to learn for the ascension of our souls. The Minor Arcana illustrate how these dynamics play out in everyday life.

Lastly, we will review Numerology and the Tarot. Knowledge of numerology for reading tarot is essential, as it constitutes the conceptual basis for themes found in the cards. For example, 5 symbolizes both change and conflict. We see this play out in each of the minor arcana tarot cards.

Here, we will also explore different types of decks that are not so Euro-centric (right) to give you exposure to other types of tools at your disposal!

Week 2: Connecting with your Spirit Guides and Ancestors through Divination

Here we will review different ways to set up your space to safely invoke the highest, most benevolent and truthful forces for answers to your inquiries and questions. This will cover:

  • Methods for cleansing your space, your SELF, and the cards

  • Invocation prayers

  • Ways to properly close out sessions and thank the Spirits

  • How to formulate and word questions for clear advice

  • Discerning when your cards need to be cleansed, and much more!

Week 3: Tarot for Spell Work, Types of Tarot Spreads, and Decolonizing the Court Cards

Tarot Spreads help give structure and clarity to advice that you may wish to receive from the Tarot. Sometimes, a particular question may have several different topics or themes that one may wish to explore. For example, the most basic example is the 3-Card (Past, Present, and Future) spread. One could use this to ask about a matter related to love and use the spread to see how these themes play out in the Seeker’s Past, Present, and Future.

We’ll cover a NUMBER of spreads and talk about ways that you can create your own tarot spreads based on your  questions or a client’s.

I created the “Decolonizing the Court Cards” section because I don't) feel comfortable with the specific definitions of the court cards. As someone who identifies as Black, queer, & gender non-binary, I find the definitions associated with the “genders” of the cards to be very oppressive. Here, we will talk about ways to reconfigure and modify these to fit your own personal experience.

Finally, I love using Tarot Cards to add power to my spell work! One can also pull cards to understand more about the effectiveness of a spell, too. We’ll talk about all of this within this section of the course!

Are you ready to tap into the power of Tarot and discover your potential as a Diviner?
